MG3: "More Gooder" at cf.Objective()

A few years back, Scott Stroz made a name for himself yelling out "Model-Glue's More Gooder" during the first preso / BOF I ever did on Model-Glue.

At cf.Objective() 2008, I'll be doing the first public preso of Model-Glue 3, as well as (hopefully!) announcing a public alpha release. Model-Glue 3 is about taking Model-Glue "back to its roots," making it easier than ever to develop MVC+II applications without losing any architectural advantages.

Besides a rearchitected and more thoroughly tested core, Model-Glue three has seven features that are all aimed at productivity. While some are public, there are a few big ones that won't be shown / disclosed until cf.Objective().

If I have any luck, Scott'll have reason to yell again.

hey joe...

you're still listed as doing the "Model-Glue: Beyond the Quickstart" on sunday. is this still accurate, or is sunday a repeat of the new "Model-Glue 3" session?

any chance of a BoF that's more of a "Beyond the Quickstart"? being relatively new to MG, and feeling that i've exhausted the web's supply of demo apps, i was really hoping for more of a "hands-on" session.

My bad. Fixed. We'll see whether folks unselect the MG3 talk compared to the MG2 talk that it was. If so, we may repeat something else on Sunday instead.

Joe let me see a sneak of the preso and it's *very* cool...

Hey Charlie,

Yep - it's the same MG3 preso twice. It's not a "demo app" session though, and it is still "beyond the quickstart." I'd recommend it as it'll go into a bit of the history / reasoning behind Model-Glue as well as get you up to speed on the difference between what you've got in 2.0.304 and what's coming in 3.0 alpha 1.

@sean - yeah, but i figure ray's is more or less the 'quickstart' (what with being an intro, and all), i was hoping for 'beyond the quickstart'. i may still attend that one. it's currently a tossup between that and adam's session on 'adding live chat with cf and blazeDS'.

@joe - oh, i'll definitely still be at the session, and still looking forward to it.
